Shandia Cordingley, BScPT

Shandia graduated from the University of Alberta in 2000 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. After working at a large sports clinic in Calgary she headed to Australia were she completed her certificate in orthopedic manual therapy. She then returned to Canada to work in Whistler for a season before moving back to her home town of Kelowna. She eventually joined the Sports Clinic Physiotherapy team in 2009.

Shandia has taken many post-graduate manual therapy and sports injury courses and continues to attend conferences and courses whenever she is able. She is also certified to practice acupuncture and intramuscular stimulation. Shandia was selected to the host medical team for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Para-Olympic Games working at the polyclinic in Whistler. She volunteers at various sporting events in the community and currently has the privilege of traveling throughout North America and Europe working as a therapist with Canada Snowboard's Alpine Team. In addition, she helps out the Canadian Freestyle Aerials and Moguls teams when they train at Apex Mountain Resort.

Shandia enjoys working with all age groups helping patients return to their activities, occupation or to simply improve their quality of life. She combines manual therapy, needling, education and exercise prescription to help individuals reach their specific rehab goals. A former collegiate basketball player, Shandia can be found 'Moving for Life' running with her dog Kula, golfing, waterskiing, playing basketball and volleyball, downhill skiing, or kiteboarding with her boyfriend James!
